Meet our staff
Steven R. Sessler, DDS (Dr. Steve)
Dr. Steven Sessler has devoted his entire dental career to serving the Southern Tier. He graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2000 and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at UB the following year. After residency, he began practicing at the Cuba Memorial Hospital dental clinic.
Originally, his plan was to remain in the area for only a few years before returning to Erie County. However, he was deeply moved by the kindness and generosity of the patients and the community, and he chose to make Cuba his permanent professional home.
In 2007, Dr. Sessler established his private practice, where he has proudly cared for patients ever since. In 2022, his son, Dr. Jonathan Sessler, joined the practice, carrying forward the family tradition of modern, patient-centered dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Sessler is an avid gardener and enjoys spending time outdoors. Most of all, he values time with his family and especially cherishes being a grandfather.
Jonathan S. Sessler, DDS (Dr. J)
Dr. Jonathan Sessler joined Sessler Family Dental in August 2022. He graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2021, then completed a rigorous one-year General Practice Residency at Erie County Medical Center (ECMC). His training included emergency care, oral oncology, comprehensive dentistry, and treating patients with special needs, which remain areas of special interest for him.
Before pursuing dentistry, Dr. Sessler earned his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and Chemistry at the University at Buffalo and went on to complete a master’s degree in the Buffalo Undersea Reef Research (BURR) lab. There, he studied the effects of ocean acidification on coral reefs, completing the typically two-year program in just one year.
At ECMC, Dr. Sessler distinguished himself in oral surgery, dentures, restorative dentistry, crown and bridge, and implants. Though invited to remain as a senior resident, he chose instead to bring his skills to Cuba and the surrounding Southern Tier communities.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Sessler is passionate about healthful living and the outdoors. He has competed in numerous Buffalo-area races of all distances, from 5Ks to full marathons, and enjoys staying active through running and athletics. He and his wife Mikaela, married in 2019, love traveling and spending time with their two dachshunds, Violet and Luna.

Margaret
Office Manager
Margaret is our Office Manager and has been with the practice since its opening in 2007. She oversees the daily operations of the office and is dedicated to ensuring that every patient has a smooth and positive experience. As a longtime resident of Allegany County, Margaret takes pride in helping neighbors and community members receive excellent dental care.
Kaytlynne
Receptionist
When you arrive at our office, the first person to greet you will be Kayt at the front desk. She helps patients with scheduling, answers questions, and makes sure every visit starts off smoothly. A longtime resident of Allegany County, Kayt enjoys being part of the local community, spending time with her family, and cheering on her favorite team. Go Bills!
Stacey
Dental Hygienist
Stacey is one of our dedicated Dental Hygienists. She completed her degree at Monroe Community College in 2020 and brings valuable experience from her years as a Dental Assistant from 2015 to 2018. Stacey enjoys spending time with her daughter, as well as her niece and nephew. At home, she also cares for her pets, a dog named Odie and two cats, Trigger and Trouble.
Megan
Dental Hygienist
Megan is one of our dedicated Dental Hygienists. She earned her degree from Erie Community College in 2016 and has been with our office ever since. Megan happily resides in the Southern Tier, where she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs. She also has a lifelong passion for horses and horseback riding.
Liz
Dental Assistant
Liz joined our team in 2024 as a Dental Assistant and has quickly become a valuable part of the practice. She helps keep the office running smoothly and ensures patients feel comfortable during their visits. Liz is currently studying to become a Registered Dental Assistant, furthering her skills and commitment to the profession. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on the Buffalo Bills, going to concerts, and spending time with her dog, Diggs.
Ally
Lead Dental Assistant, RDA
Ally joined our practice in 2024 as a Registered Dental Assistant and serves as our Lead Assistant. She graduated from the Olean BOCES Dental Assistant program in 2017 and brings extensive experience to the team. Ally enjoys guiding clinical operations and helping ensure patients feel at ease during their visits. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, including two boys, dogs, and a cat, as well as exploring the outdoors.
Hayleigh
Dental Assistant, RDA
Hayleigh joined our team in August 2022 after completing the Dental Assisting program at Olean BOCES. She is currently continuing her education to further expand her dental knowledge and skills. Outside of work, Hayleigh enjoys spending time outdoors and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Jill
Dental Assistant, RDA
Jill joined our team in 2024, bringing with her more than 30 years of experience in the orthodontic field. Her extensive background and dedication make her a valuable addition to our dental team.
